Read, Play, Create
Read, Play, Create:
Helping children develop the language skills and confidence they need before starting school.
Story-led sessions, support and early language environments designed to build communication, confidence and a love of reading from the very start.
Supporting early language development in line with national priorities for school readiness across the West Midlands.

It shouldn’t take until school for children to find their voice.
That’s why early language support before school is so important.
OUR ETHOS
Many children are starting school without the language skills they need to thrive.
At Read, Play, Create, everything is built around supporting early language development in a way that feels natural, engaging and accessible for families.
Through carefully chosen stories, sensory play and meaningful interaction, children are given the opportunity to build vocabulary, develop communication skills and grow in confidence — all through play.

This isn’t just play.
Every session, space and interaction is designed with early language development at its core — helping children learn to talk, understand and express themselves before they begin their journey through school.
We work with families, schools and community settings to support early language development and school readiness before children start school.
FAMILY & COMMUNITY HUBS

Created by a former primary teacher, Read, Play, Create was built from first-hand experience of children struggling with language and confidence in the early years.
Using a story-led approach, these sessions were first developed at home and are now supporting families across the Bromsgrove area.
