Our Freestanding Sensory Funnels are thoughtfully designed and made by Read, Play, Create to support little learners as they explore pouring, transferring, filling, and experimenting through hands-on play.
Made from child-safe PLA and perfectly sized for small hands, this funneled station invites children to scoop, pour, observe and discover using a wide range of materials – rice, pasta, seeds, sand, water, oats, coloured chickpeas, playdough… the possibilities are endless!
This kind of open-ended sensory play helps to develop:
Fine motor skills (hand strength, grip and coordination)
Early maths concepts (capacity, volume, full/empty, more/less)
Language development through conversation and descriptive vocabulary
Independence & problem solving as children experiment creatively
Calming sensory regulation, supporting focus and engagement
Each funnel stand is 3D-printed in PLA, a plant-based biodegradable material, and built to be lightweight, durable, and easy to clean.
Your set includes three removable funnels that slot securely into the stand.
